Neon Cactus Wines presented its 12th annual scotch tasting at this year’s Robbie Burns Night. For a minimal charge to support the Band, attendees could try a wee dram of a variety of scotches.

Performance by the Cochrane Men of Vision Pipes & Drums featuring hits from the 1700s and 1800s!

Highland dancing, traditional Scottish dinner and toasts, scotch tasting, silent auction and dancing into the wee hours with “Fraid Knot.”

Neon Cactus Wines presented the fourth annual
Cochrane Winefest!
This was an amazing opportunity to taste more than 80 wonderful wines while socializing with other wine lovers.

we had the two most popular wines from Cochrane Winefest 2011 open for tasting!

Attendees at Cochrane Winefest on Thursday night were asked to vote for their favourite at the end of the evening.
We shared the favourite red, Seduction Malbec, and the favourite white, Gray Monk Pinot Auxerrois, with you on the weekend!

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 6,

Cochrane Winefest 2010!

Our third annual Cochrane Winefest was held Thursday, October 21 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at AC’s restaurant in Cochrane. For $50, more than 70 wonderful wines were offered for tasting along with delicious hors d’oeuvres! A marvelous evening of sipping and tasting while chatting with other wine lovers.

we exposed the truth about rosé wines for you!
Myth:
Rosé wines are too sweet. Rosé is white zinfandel.
Truth:
The only difference between red wine and rosé is that the grape skins are removed earlier in the winemaking process, before the wine develops deep colour and strong tannins (the bite that makes you pucker).

We tasted a selection of rosés from around the world, paired with delicious snacks!
