Quails’ Gate Pinot Noir ~ Stewart Family Reserve
Ripe plum characters mingle with delicate spice and sweet vanilla oak. There are rich savoury notes and fine tannins that float evenly across the palate. The aromas are layered and complex, revealing vivid red fruits, fresh plum and ripe black cherry notes with hints of spice, dark chocolate and earth. With long-term cellaring, this Pinot Noir will reveal feral notes and more mature fruit. Very cellar-worthy with ageing potential of 5 to 8 years. Very dark and inky in colour, this wine has a rich powerful frame and texture with complex gamey aromas. Notes of dark fruits and leather mingle with a savoury, sweet and sour palate. Gentle tannins and pure fruit sweetness create an elegant mouthfeel that complements the intense colours and aromas.
