The Seventy Five Wine Company was founded to perpetuate and honour the landmark year of 1975, when many inspirational events occurred.
To name but a few: Bill Gates founded Microsoft, Andrei Dmitrievich Sakharov was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace, the first episode of Saturday Night Live debuted, and the Beckstoffer family set up shop in Napa Valley.
The Seventy-Five Wine Company Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine possesses extraordinary power and depth of fruit that combine to create a wine of monumental richness. Notes of blueberry and fresh ripe cherries are interwoven with subtle graphite and toasty oak. Incredibly fragrant and beautifully concentrated, all the while maintaining great acidity and a wonderful long seamless finish. This wine is certainly approachable now and should age beautifully. $26.95*
The Sum
This amazingly well-endowed, profoundly rich Cabernet-based, blended red must be smelled and tasted to be believed. The colour is a rich, deep purple garnet and gives but a small hint as to what’s inside. The nose gives off soaring and wonderfully focused aromas of ripe stone fruit, vanilla, cherries, cedar cigar box, blackberries and cinnamon. In the mouth, there are layers upon layers of broad, sweet opulent fruit balanced by firm tannins, great acidity and oak. $32.95*

Most people think Argentina when they see Malbec, but it now has found an ideal home in the Lodi region, known for its climate of warm, dry summers amid rich fertile soil that creates the perfect place to grow award-winning Malbecs.
These grapes have similar characteristics to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and are oftentimes rich but delicate. This vintage’s heady aroma of juicy, ripe fruit is what you notice first. Think of ripe, red cherries, plums and luscious currants. The flavours complement the nose with rich, ripe fruit overlapped by spicy cherry and hints of sweet oak. Medium-bodied with mature tannins, this wine has a savoury feel to it. Pair with any red meat dish but can also go great with Mexican, Indian or Italian fare. $28.95*
86% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah
This outstanding 2007 vintage from the Varner Winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains is a classic Zinfandel with loads of berry fruit, pepper, earth, and roasted Provençal herb flavours. Pure, full-bodied, ripe, with not a hard edge to be found in this excellent red. $21.95*

Immediate nose of oak and berry which expands to fresh cherry. Obvious grape entry in the mouth that surprises to develop into rich and deep flavors. Old-world vanilla flavors dominate in a quality rarely seen in wines this inexpensive. Easy drinking and unpretentious. $14.95*
“Lot 96” was chosen as a name for this blend to reflect Foppiano’s original roots dating back to 1896; the vineyard is still family owned and operated.

28% Sangiovese, 19% Petite Sirah, 17% Zinfandel, 14% Carignane, 10% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc
The blend in this wine provides an entirely food-friendly experience. Sangiovese plays a big part in structure as well as a dynamic fruit component. Soft, ready to drink and very supple.
Simply enjoy with your everyday meals and share with your family and friends.
Pork shoulder, roasted low and slow ’til it falls off the bone, would be a great fit with this wine. Then a gnocchi or pappardelle noodle with jus made from the drippings and rapini would be dynamite. $19.95*
The cowboy met the old man who brought him some cuttings in a damp burlap sack. The old man said, “Plant these in the valley where the fog comes in at dusk and the soil is stony and no good for anything else. And someday you’ll have some fine dark wine. So dark it turns your teeth to purple.” So the legend goes.
Both Purple Cowboy wines are teeth-staining dark red with hints of purple. They each won Gold Medal, Best of Class at Jerry D. Mead’s New World International Wine Competition.
Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red

You can’t be too rich, too beautiful, or too birichino ~ mischievous, impish, or nymphean ~ a mark of vitality and the embracing of La Dolce Vita (in this case rendered molto secco). Of classical Greek origin, Malvasia threaded her way through the forests of Calabria before slipping ashore in California under cover of darkness.
Her fragrance of jasmine, lime blossom and elderflower suggests something quite sweet and sybaritic, although as the first sip passes the lips she is revealed as dry, crystalline, and clear. She has learned through her worldly travels to flatter a diverse array of cuisine, from tea-smoked duck, to simply sautéed scallops, to pasta al pesto. Anything with lemongrass or ginger. Fried or blanched calamari, citrus salad, Thai or Vietnamese curries, crudo, steamed mussels or clams. $21.95*
